Soana Are Title Contenders, Simbwa Warns

The outspoken coach said after his club struggled to pick a slim one goal advantage over Jinja Municipal council on Saturday.

“We are in the title race and are working toward but we take every game at a time. This win pushes us in a better spot inside the leading pack.”

David Ssali scored the all-important goal for Soana FC in the 70th minute. The club has so far scored nine goals, page the second poorest record in the top ten but have but boast of the best defensive structure with only four conceded. However the statistics don’t faze Simbwa.

“The scoring problem is general in the league and also worldwide. Strikers are not as lethal as those previous days. But most important is we don’t also concede a lot,” Simbwa further added.

Soana’s next game is at home in Kavumba against Lweza FC on Tuesday.
