Simbwa Joins Soana on Two Year Deal

Soana football club have hired the services of former KCCA FC assistant coach Sam Bamweyana Simbwa.

The experienced coach was revealed at the club on Friday and his immediate job will be against The Saints FC at home in Kavumba on Tuesday.

Soana FC recorded a barren draw on Friday away to debutants Onduparaka FC at the greenlight stadium in Arua.

Interim coach Katono handled the team in the opening fixture taking over from Charles Lukula Ayiekoh who resigned recently citing interference.

“Our choice of coach Simbwa was spot on, approved their was little debate over it. Simbwa is a big name that fits at Soana with our ambitions, ” Soana boss Smart Obed confirmed to Chimosport.

Simbwa has been off duty since January when he was suspended for misconduct by KCCA FC. His suspension was combined with a ban from the federation which expired on August 15th.

“He will be with us for the next two seasons. Our main target this season is to get the league trophy and that’s why we have hired him (Simbwa).”

Soana ended seventh on the standings last season with 45 points, twelve adrift of champions KCCA FC despite scoring the second highest number of goals (44).
