Vivo Energy Uganda, sildenafil through its premium brand Shell V-Power, has continued with its annual muscle power towards the Pearl of Africa Rally.
Shell V-Power on Wednesday have announced a sponsorship package worth Ushs 100 million towards the organization of the 2017 Pearl of Africa Uganda
The announcement was made at the launch of the 20th edition of the Shell V-Power Pearl of
Africa Rally at held at Shell Bugolobi,Kampala.
Speaking during the sponsorship handover ceremony, Vivo Energy Uganda Managing Director, Gilbert Assi said: “Vivo Energy is delighted to continue to support the Pearl of Africa Rally.”
Vivo Energy Uganda also sponsors two drivers, Arthur Blick and Ronald Ssebuguzi and the two also received a boost of UGX 65M ahead of the Pearl of Africa Rally.
The Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda (FMU) President, Dusman Okee, said that the contribution from Vivo Energy Uganda will help the event continue to be successful.
“We thank Vivo Energy Uganda for its continued and committed support towards the motorsport fraternity. As a federation we are working closely with all stakeholders to host another successful event,” said Okee.
The Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally is one of the eight rounds of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) sanctioned African Rally Championship and will be the 4th round on the ARC calendar.
The event scheduled to take place between June 30 and July 2, will also double as the fifth round on the NRC calendar.
According to the clerk of the course, Jeff Kabagambe the event will cover a total of 468km with 212 being competitive.
This year’s Pearl of Africa rally will be held in Luweero and Kayunga District.
