Namuyanja who has been at the club now for the third week is not worried about the challenge of guiding the team in a competitive league.

“Of course I am aware of the challenge ahead of me but as a professional coach, i have pressure in my work. All I need to do is to make sure that we keep improving and am sure She Makerere will be a better team this time round,” she explained.

About boosting the squad with new players ahead of the new season, Namuyanja said she will first have to study which areas need to address.

” At the moment, we are not thinking about new faces but we need to first focus on what we have at hand and maybe add two or three players in departments that need to be beefed up,” said Namuyanja.

The soft spoken lady replaced Douglas Bamweyana who was at the team for the previous two seasons.

She Makerere finished in sixth position in the Victoria group of the Fufa women elite league last season surviving relegation by a whisker.
