“After official notice from the sports tutor, Mr.Brian Miiro Nsubuga over inability to continue with activities after closure of the University, the game that She Makerere was supposed have been called off,” confirmed a reliable source.
Ahmed Hussein, the communications director at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) also confirmed the information indicating they have received communication from the team about calling off the fixture.
“We are in receipt of a letter from the sports tutor telling us they won’t be able to host the games following closure of the university, so their games have been called off,” he confirmed to ChimpSport.
The third edition of the women’s elite league kickoffs on Friday with Ajax Queens hosting Eastern Heroes in Bulenga and other fixtures will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Kawempe Muslim are the defending champions after defeating She Corporate 5-3 on penalties after a goalless result in normal time.
