Seven Killed in Kalita Christmas Accident

Police says the cause of the accident was overspeeding

Atleast seven passengers have died instantly and scores injured in a Kalita bus accident along the Kampala-Fort Portal highway.

The fatal accident that occurred at around 3:00pm on Friday involved a Kalita bus Reg No.UAJ-409T, approved http://debbiehowes.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-testimonials/include/settings/theme.options.php travelling from Kampala and a Canter Lorry Reg. No UAU -831Q which was coming from Fort-Portal.

She said the Canter lorry collided with the Kalita bus killing seven passengers onspot and several others severely wounded.

Tumushabe attributes the accident to over speeding Canter lorry driver.

She however said that the identities of the deceased and injured persons could not be established by press time.

Tumushabe revealed that the injured were picked and rushed to kyenjojo hospital and Fort Portal regional hospital in critical condition.
