SC Villa Unveil New Players Ahead of Second Round of the League

Sports Club Villa have unveiled six new players ahead of the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier league.

“We have added the new players to make sure we win the league. I know we performed well in the first round but I believe we can do better in the remaining games,” he said.

“I believe we have assembled a strong team that will bring us success, therefore we just need to rally behind them and give them the necessary support,” Misagga encouraged the fans who were present at Villa park.

Among the players unveiled was Emmanuel Arnold Okwi who is returning to Villa for his third stint.

The lethal striker who had his contract terminated at Swedish club SonderjyskE has joined SC Villa for a short term contract till the end of the season.

Okwi first played for the record champions between 2009-2010 before moving to Tanzania where he played for Simba. He later returned to Villa park in 2013 after leaving Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel.

The other players unveiled include, Sulaiman Luzige, Musisi Farouk, Alex Ssemuyaba, Cameroonian goalkeeper Tonny Nyokoni and Arthur Arakaza(not present at the function).

In a similar development, Missaga also unveiled former Express boss Wasswa Bossa as an associate coach.

“Wasswa will be part our new coaching staff and will work with head coach Shafik Bisaso, supported by Ssekyeyama as their assistant,” Misagga said.
