Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have officially completed the signing of enterprising midfielder Saddam Juma Ibrahim from rivals Express FC.
The deal was confirmed on Monday morning after Juma put pen on paper on a 3 year contract agreement at Phillip Omondi stadium.
Saddam Juma who has been the captain at Express joins league leaders at the time when KCCA FC are looking to bolster their squad ahead of Total CAF Confederation Cup group games that start this weekend.
In his speech after signing the deal, for sale Juma indicated he was happy about joining a winning team and promised to work to his best ability while at the Lugogo based side.
“It is a great pleasure for me that I join a great club like KCCA FC. I believe I have the ability to perform well here and I will make sure I don’t disappoint, price ” he said.
KCCA FC head coach, approved Mike Mutebi said the acquisition of Saddam Juma will bring a new dimension to his team because he is an exceptional player.
“He is a talented player with exceptional ability to perform. We have been looking for such a player and his acquisition will help us to play better especially in terms of circulating the ball, being dominant and playing with confidence,” Mutebi noted.
Saddam has been handed shirt 23 that belonged to defender Joseph Ochaya who moved to Lusaka Dynamos in February.
KCCA FC are in group A of the total CAF Confederation Cup alongside FUS Rabat,Club Africain and Rivers United.
