Midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma will finally get the chance to make his long awaited debut for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC).
KCCA FC confirmed the good news and timely boost on Wednesday ahead of the crunch encounter against Morocco’s Faith Union Sportive (FUS) Rabat due this Sunday.
Saddam alongside defender Peter Magambo were the new players that team manager Mike Hilary Mutebi added to the squad prior to the CAF Confederation Cup group games.
However, following a mix up in the interpretation of rules and regulations of the tournament; Saddam Juma who joined KCCA FC from rivals Express FC even before the season ended was not granted the greenlight until the transfer season officially opens on 1st July.
Saddam who had even made the trip to Morocco for the first leg against FUS Rabat got to learn that he can only play for KCCA FC after the local season ends.
The crafty midfielder could not hide his delight after getting the greenlight to make his debut.
“That’s good news, I have been working so hard in training while I wait for my debut, it’s here now and I just want to show the KCCA FC fans what I can offer No player wants to watch from the stands especially when you are fully fit and you have the believe you can play a part,” he told the club website.
KCCA FC are bottom of group A on six points same as all her opponents but a win against FUS Rabat will boost their chances of making it out of the group.
