Sacked SC Villa CEO Threatens to Sue Club Over Unpaid Salary

Former Sports Club Villa Chief Executive Officer, order Ivan Kakembo has demanded that the club to pays his salary arrears or else he takes the matters to Courts of law.

Kakembo who was sacked last week on Tuesday, through his lawyers is seeking to have his salary for the Month of April, May and June paid with immediate effect.

In a letter dated June 16, 2017 addressed to SC Villa President, Eng. Ben Immanuel Misagga and received by John Bugembe on 20th June, Kakembo demands that his arrears be settled within five days.

“We hereby demand that you immediately pay our client salary arrears for the month of April, May and June and all terminal benefits that he is entitled to and an additional 10% their on being demanded within 5 days,” the statement reads.

“Our instructions are to institute court proceeding for recovery of the same interest from the date the money fell due and costs of the suit,” the letter further states.

The letter also notes that Kakembo who worked for SC Villa in the capacity of the CEO was wrongfully dismissed.

“Our client was your employee since 13th September 2014 as CEO, which contract was later renewed, he was wrongfully dismissed on 13th June.”

Earlier on Kakembo had released a statement indicating he had resigned citing improper working environment.

Efforts to get a comment from SC Villa boss, Misagga were futile as his known phone was off by the time of publication.
