Rwanda football federation (Ferwafa) has announced an international friendly match between the country’s national women football team, patient http://daa.asn.au/wp-includes/class-wp-comment-query.php She-Wasps against Tanzania’s Twiga Stars on June 16, treatment 2016.
The friendly is part of a week-long activities lined up to mark the 2016 Africa Union Summit that runs from July 10-18, 2016 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Twiga stars are fresh from participating in an unsuccessful 2016 Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers where they were eliminated by Zimbabwe in April.
On the other side, the Rwandan ladies have stayed in the cold without either competitive or friendly action for the last two years since a 12-1 thrashing at the hands of Nigeria in a 2014 African Women’s Championship qualifier.
This will be the 27th African Union Summit and is scheduled to be hosted at the newly constructed Kigali convention Centre whereas the match will take place at the Amahoro stadium.
The summit is geared towards promoting the rights of women among the member states.
This year’s meeting runs under the theme “2016: African Year of Human Rights with particular focus on the Rights of Women”
