The hosts emerged victorious with a 2-1 victory in a game played at the Nyamirambo Stadium.

Dominic Savio Nshuti opened the scoresheet for the Amavubi stars before Maki Saifedin levelled matters at the half hour mark to send the game tied at halftime.

Bernabe Mubumbyi who came in for goalscorer Nshuti, did the needful when he headed in a beautiful laid freekick from Bizimana with just 15 minutes remaining on the clock.

Antoine Hey’s men held on comfortably and soaked the pressure from the indomitable Sudanese to seal a hard fought 2-1 victory.

Close sources in Kigali reliably have it that the Rwandese will name their final squad to face the Uganda Cranes on Tuesday before flying to Entebbe the next day.
