The former Rukungiri central police station officer in-charge of Criminal Investigations Intelligence Department (OC CIID) ASP Michael Ogwal and his deputy AIP Frank Turamye were on Thursday charged with being “accessories after the fact murder, purchase http://cuencahighlife.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/contact-form.php ” before the Rukungiri Grade one Magistrates court.
Court presided over by Josephine Nakato heard from the prosecution led by the Rukungiri Resident State Attorney Peter Kyomuhendo that the two ASP Ogwal and his deputy Turamye on May 18th 2016 got information that workers at Kagogo Coffee Factory had beaten to death one Joel Sigirenda whose body was later dumped in a water pond, visit http://darkfey-temple.org/wp-includes/feed.php but took no appropriate action.
The court heard that after getting the information, Ogwal assigned the file to his deputy AIP Frank Turamye and the case was opened under file number CRB/990/2016 but they refused to investigate it.
It was not until the relatives of Sigirenda petitioned the police’s professional standards unit that the two were arrested.
When the charges were read to them, the duo pleaded not guilty and were both granted bail.
Magistrate Nakato adjourned the case till 20th July 2016 for further mention.
