Dr. Donald Rukare was reelected President of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) for the second term in office.
Rukare won the two man race with a landslide victory during the annual general meeting held at the Uganda Olympic Committee headquarters on Saturday.
The incumbent floored his opponent Teffilo Sserunjogi with a landslide victory winning with 23 votes while Sserunjogi could only garner 5.
This will be Rukare’s second term in office after assuming powers in 2013 and will be at the helm of the federation up to 2020.

“I thank the delegates for the overwhelming support, http://d4462130.u92.platformpublishing.com.au/wp-admin/includes/import.php we promise to perform better in the coming term,” he said.
“We have a five year strategic plan that we think we shall implement to make sure we develop the game,” Rukare added
In the other elective positions that were contested, Simon Peter Mugisha retained his position as the first Vice President winning Irene Mudanyi 24-04.
Moses Mwase also returned as the General Secretary while Albert Wasswa was elected assistant general secretary.
Florence Nakakawa(Treasurer), Annet Tumusiime(Assistant treasurer) and Muzafaru Muwanguzi(Vice President technical) all went through unopposed.
