Rugby: Heathens Extend Winning Streak to Ten Games

Hima Cement Heathens began the second round of the 2016/17 Rugby premier league on a remarkable note easing past minnows Rams.

Pirates registered almost a similar score with an emphatic 63-03 win against Makerere Impis at Legends rugby club.

Byron Kasozi managed a hattrick of tries before Timothy Kisiga and Musa Muwonge scored a brace apiece while Dennis Etuket also got onto the score sheet with a try.

Sadolin Mongers managed to defeat Toyota Buffaloes at the house of pain in Entebbe while Gulu Elephants failed to honour their away fixture against Betway Kobs.

This is the third game that Gulu have failed to play and thus Kobs were awarded a walkover while the Elephants could be thrown out of the league.

The league regulations stipulate that a team that fails to honour three fixtures is dismissed.

Earlier on Friday,  Shell Rimula Rhinos earned a 29-15 victory against Warriors. Jasper Onen had two tries while Ivan Ntungire and Stalo Camden had a try each to help Rhinos win.
