High Court Judge Wilson Musalu Museni has been transferred to Mpigi District which recently got a new High Court.
Museni has been the head of the Kampala High Court’s Criminal Division and handled a number of high profile cases.

His new station Mpigi is one of the new High Court Circuit Creations together with Mubende, Mukono, Iganga, Tororo, Rukungiri, Hoima and Luweero.
The other existing High Court Circuits are, Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Lira, Gulu, Arua, Masindi, Fort Portal, Mbarara, Kabale and Masaka.
In an administrative circular, the Principal Judge Dr Yorokamu Bamwiine made known of the transfer.
Meanwhile Justice Dr Andrew Bashaija who has been deputizing Justice Kwesiga in the Land Division is now the new head of the division.
The Principle Judge said these changes were for more effective delivery of services and conducted after consultation with the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe.
“The redeployments are with immediate effect, subject of course to the usual completion of all the partly heard cases in advanced stage at the old station,” Bamwiine said.
The Principal Judge also named Justice Godfrey Namundi the new deputy head of the Lands Division, and returned Justice Elizabeth Kibula to the Criminal and Family Division of High Court, having been the caretaker of the Mpigi Circuit.
