The national NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson, http://clearskinconcierge.com/acne/wp-includes/class-wp-meta-query.php Tanga Odoi announced this morning that Jogo garnered 38, http://cooperativenet.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/dynamic_stylesheet/interface.dynamic_stylesheet.php 058 votes while Twinomuhangi managed a distant 19, 087votes.
Meanwhile, Prosy Mbabazi Begumisa Akampurira was declared NRM flag bearer for Rubanda District Woman Member of Parliamentary after defeating six contenders.
Begumisa garnered 18065 votes while her closest contender, Hildah Kabarungi Karuhize garnered 15,675votes.
Joventa Turinomuhangi who came third got 11,381votes, Evelyn Ninsiima garnered 5, 553, Jackline Katabaazi polled 3,265votes, Evelyn Byarugaba Agaba 1,882 while Flavia Tweyongyere Kamwezingyiriire trailed with 1,073votes.
Both winners were declared by Odoi at 3:000a m under tight security.
Earlier, the Bufundi Sub county NRM Registrar, Nicholas Ngabikyire was arrested at the main tally center for allegedly inflating some of the results from his sub county.
Drama ensued when Ngabikyire presented results before Odoi showing that, Prossy Mbabazi Begumisa Akampurira had garnered 4779 votes in Bufundi Sub County against Hildah Kabarungi Karuhize’s 351 votes.
This forced polling agents of Kabarungi, led by Wilfred Arinda to demand for a recount claiming that the results were unrealistic. When Odoi and his team recounted, Kabarungi got 3797 votes while Akampurira got 3888 votes.
Odoi immediately ordered police to arrest Ngabikyire and kick off the investigations.
Augustine Nakitari, the Rubanda district acting District Police Commander confirmed the arrest of Nicholas Ngabikire and revealed that they have commenced the investigations
Nomination for candidates by the Independent electoral commission is expected on 29th July 2016, and voting will be a month later August 29th.
Biryabarema is to face Ambrose Tumukunde the FDC Candidate as well as Nelson Habasa the former Rubanda count west MP contestant in the 2011 elections who is running on an independent ticket.
