He was accused of lack of respect for the board and other organs and staff members of the University; insubordination and usurping the powers of other organs of the university.

In a new twist of events, Prof. Ntambirweki, a celebrated legal brain, has spoken described the board members as “grabbers” targeting to rob an institution he built from scratch.

In a press conference held in the UPU Board room at Mucwa campus on Wednesday, Prof. Ntambirweki maintained that he is still the Vice Chancellor UPU adding that the Board of directors has no legal powers to sack him.

“I am the founder of the University and I am very rich,” he told journalists.

“I have invested plenty of my resources and energy to make this campus what it is today.”

He said some members of the board who are alleging to have sacked him are his employees and wonders how workers can sack their boss.

“These people are grabbers and thugs,” the law don blasted his rivals.

Ntambirweki also vowed to drag the board to court for tarnishing his name and image of the institution.

Uganda Pentecostal University, a private university founded by Ntambirweki and his colleagues was accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE), in 2005.

John Ntambirweki is a former Senior Lecturer of Makerere University. He is also a former Head of Department of Law, Uganda Christian University.

He is also a Consultant at the law firm of Ntambirweki Kandeebe & Company Advocates, based in Kampala.
