President Museveni Appoints Supreme Court, Court of Appeal Justices

Hon. Lady Justice Prof. Lillian Tibatemwa - Ekirikubinza is among the appointees

Residents of Karangura and Mugusu in Kabarole district on Sunday torched houses and destroyed properties belonging to two siblings who are accused of killing a 13 year old boy.

Kyabona and Eriya were arrested and detained at Fort Portal police station but later released on Friday, an act that angered residents.

The mob also set a blaze three houses belonging to the relatives of the suspects who they believe to have taken part in the murder.

By the time of the incident, all the suspects and their relatives had fled the area out of fear of being lynched.

By press time the police had not reached the scene.

Hon.Steven Kagwera, the area MP who urged the residents to be calm also condemned the manner in which the police was handling the particular case file.

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed justices of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
