Sporting United head coach Ogwal Ongedo is confident that his team will be able to finish the Big League on top of the table and thus get a direct promotion to the 2016/17 Uganda Premier League season.

The coach took over the reins at the Lira-based outfit in the middle of first leg after the club parted ways with Coach Bob Obira and since then he has been at the sidelines collecting maximum league points out of 6 games played including two away wins.

“I think the league is quite competitive this time round but still we have the strength to carry on up to the last whistle. When I came here, viagra order http://chakraboosters.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table-compat.php there were little things missing which I have tried to rectify hence the good results we have had. Since then the team has not lost any game whether official or a friendly, drug ” coach Ongedo told ChimpSport after the team’s training on Saturday at Lango sports ground.

Sporting United is currently second in the Elgon group with 23 points, one behind leaders Artland Katale but coach Engwedo believes third placed Onduparaka fc from West Nile pose more threat in their (sporting) race to promotion  than thecurrent log leaders.

“Artland Katale is a good team but Onduparaka is our biggest threat. Their football is great; they play all games with confidence like they were at home. We narrowly beat them here (Lango SG).”

He further adds that,”we have seven home games in 2nd leg, while Artland has more away games. I only need seven wins and am good to go.”

The Lira side has been awarded six points after Kira Young and Paidha Black Angels walked out of the field of play because of poor refereeing.

The soft-spoken coach said, “The level of officiation should be checked. For example against Kira Young, the referee gave a rather simple penalty at first but then when the ‘most deserved one came’, the opponents walked off. At least teams should follow laws and lodge complaints later.’”
