Kutesa added that the world should stop focusing on religious agenda in relation to the acts of terrorism but rather try to dig out the reasons why.

The Kabale Resident District Commissioner Darius Nandinda has vowed to arrest aspirant politicians currently involved in active soliciting of votes, this site even before Electoral Commission has made any announcements.

Nandinda made the remarks yesterday during the National Resistance Movement’s 29th Liberation Day celebrations held at Kamwezi playing ground in Kamwezi Sub County, website Kabale district

The RDC said he was receiving reports of numerous 2016 election aspirants conducting meetings seeking for votes which he said was illegal.

He directed that politicians desist from this practice or risk being detained and charged.

“I will not hesitate to arrest any one of them, because this is against the law, and unacceptable. You must wait until the EC has pronounced itself on the dates when you can launch your campaigns,” he said.

The Rubanda East Member of Parliament Henry Musasizi, who represented the State Minister for East African Community Affairs Hon Shemu Bagaine, also lashed at the aspirants saying that they should be patient until their terms have elapsed.

He further revealed that in his constituency voters were already heated up like its campign time already.

“It’s your right to solicit for votes but it is not yet time of election. We shall not go away,” he said

Ironically some of the local aspirants were head soliciting for votes at the same function.
