Police Releases FDC’s Ingrid Turinawe

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change’s Chief Mobilizer Mrs. Ingrid Turinawe has been released from police detention.

Mrs. Turinawe went missing on Sunday, buy http://chienyenthinh.com/modules/mod_articles_popular/tmpl/default.php raising concerns amongst the party leaders and supporters.

She was however “dumped” at her house this morning by police according to opposition party.

They said the opposition iron lady was held at Nakasongola Police near Lake Kyoga, http://chaosoffroad.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-auth.php before being driven back south to the SIU Headquarters in Kireka.

Following growing questions about her whereabouts, the Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura came out yesterday and revealed that Ingrid was in Police custody together with other party leaders including Harold Kaija, the Deputy Secretary General who was picked up at the party headquarters on Monday morning.

“Ingrid was arrested, it’s true; she is in our custody,” the IGP told reporters on Monday evening. “The CID is processing possible charges and these will be presented before the Directorate of Public Prosecution for consideration.”
