Police FC Chairman, Asan Kasigye

Uganda Premier League club Police FC have cracked the whip on two veteran players who are suspected of match fixing, erectile club chairman/patron Asan Kasingye has confirmed.

“I am informing you with a heavy heart, that Police FC has parted company with three of its senior players; Katerega Godfrey the captain, his assistant Kyambadde Sadat for betting and throwing away team matches,” Kasingye shockingly revealed.

Long serving striker Peter Ssenyonjo has also been released from the club after he reportedly travelled to join a club in the United Arab Emirates without the club’s blessings.

“Senyonjo Peter who has gone to UAE on his own frolic without the clubs consent. We have canceled their contracts and wish them well elsewhere,” Kasingye added.

Timbe’s sacking.

Sam Timbe resigned his job on October 22nd where he cited low player morale as one of the reasons for his decision.

He said, “I have discovered that the club players underserving low morale which has led to continued poor results on the pitch is attached to my presence and particularly my recently renewed contract.”
