Uganda Police Football Club have appointed a new club Chief Executive Officer to run the day to day activities of the team.
ASP Francis Kidega was on Wednesday evening appointed and unveiled as the new club CEO in a function held at the team’s headquarters in Kibuli, Kampala.
Kidega comes in as a replacement for SSP Abu Kalule who has been serving in that capacity but has been retained within the institution’s sports department.
The changes in the management of the club are aimed at reviving the glory of the 2005 league winners according to club chairperson, AIGP Asan Kasingye.
“We are making these changes for the better. We want to rekindle our pride and glory and therefore this must start with having a well-structured administrative unit,” he said a fortnight ago while unveiling new players.
The cops have been very busy in the transfer market getting several new players on board.
Kasingye asserted that they want to avoid last season’s predicaments where they languished in the drop zone and only survived relegation on the last day of the league.
The team under the tutorship of Abdallah Mubiru has already begun preparations for next season having double training sessions at Kibuli SS.
