Police Deploy To Guard Tororo’s Asian Investor from Angry Creditors

Police has been deployed to guard business premises belonging to Malik Siyani, visit a famous and long time Indian investor and business mogul in Tororo town after business companies and individuals threatened to invade into the premises to confiscate properties over outstanding debts.

The district police commander Robert Katuramu has confirmed that the deployment is meant to maintain law and order as police investigates on the allegations posed against the investor by other business companies and individuals claiming to be owing the investor big sums of money arising from supply of goods and services and loans.

Katuramu  said the investor under his company Siyani Pupu and Zeyne Enterprise limited is reported to have gone into hiding in fear of the accumulated debts from various banks and individual loans amounting to billions of shillings.

Katuramu added that they have also advised all companies and individuals complaining, to formalize their complaints to help police ascertain the accurate number to guide in the investigations.

“We purposely deployed to prevent creditors and looters who had planned to raid his [Investor] business premises and take whatever they would land on. We also managed to tow his personal Prado car to the central police station for safety’’ Mr. Katuramu said.

He disclosed that so far they have registered four complaints from Dfcu bank, Shire petrol station Tororo, Tororo Cement Industry Limited, Keshwala Group of Companies Jinja with verbal complaints from companies from as far as West Nile, Teso, Bugisu, Kampala among others crying foul of their cash.

‘’I don’t imagine that Zeyne managed to escape without anybody noticing I think people had trust in him and this explains that never believe in somebody you don’t know’’ he said.

The DPC said after fleeing, he fooled members of the public by parking his expensive white Prado with personalized number plate ‘’MALIK’’ in front of one of his business premises opposite Centenary Bank Tororo along Uhuru drive in Tororo town to keep people posted that he is around.
