The Kyabazinga of Busoga His Royal Highness William Gabula Nadiope IV has concluded a two-day Kyabazinga Royal Trip in Busoga Kingdom.
The trip, according to Minister for Heritage and Tourism in Obwakyabazinga Bwa Busoga Hellen Namutamba, was aimed at unveiling tourist sites found in Busoga and market them to international and local communities.
The trip was flagged off on Saturday by Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muvawala at Obwakyabazinga Bwa Busoga Headquarters in Bugembe.
They toured Igenge Palace, Mpumudde Cultural Hill, Budhumbula Royal shrine, Iyingo Cultura Site and Kagulu Hill.
Kyabazinga also visited Botanical Gardens of Patrick Kiirya at Wanyange where bird watching is done.
On Sunday, the Kyabazinga and Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga joined in the excursion and visited St. Matia Mulumba Birth place, Bishop Hannington Memorial site, Nhendha Hill for Abaise Igaga and finally Source of the Nile in Jinja.
While at Nhendha Hill, Kadaga called for promotion of local tourism and development to all tourist sites to modern sites.
Kadaga also called for construction of a small museum at Nhendha Hill to show case the traditional Items from Busoga.
Present at Nhendha Hill was the Issabalangira of Busoga Samuel Zirabamuzale, Kigulu Chief, Prince Patrick Izimba Ggologolo, Prince Anorld Nadiope and Ministers from Busoga Kingdom among others.
Later, Kadaga and Kyabazinga travelled by helicopter from Nhendha to Source of the Nile where they visited the Mahatma Gandhi statue and also went for a boat cruise.
