The Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday welcomed the contentiously appointed South Sudan First Vice President, site http://cdaink.com.br/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/sal/class.json-api-site-jetpack.php Gen. Taban Deng Gai, approved in style at State House Nairobi.

Taban who was appointed in July to replace the deliberately missing Dr. Riek Machar, buy information pills was given a full presidential treatment on Tuesday.

President Uhuru who is the first regional leader to openly refer to Taban as the First Vice President, said he discussed with the visitor the implementation of South Sudan peace agreement signed in August last year.

“Today I met with South Sudan First Vice President Taban Deng Gai at State House, who briefed me on the efforts by the Government of President Salva Kiir to implement the peace accord in line with the IGAD recommendations,” Uhuru said in a brief statement on Tuesday.

Taban had a number of officials from South Sudan while Uhuru welcomed the visitors together with his Foreign Affairs minister, Ambassador Amina Mohamed.

President Kiir appointed Taban to the position when Dr. Machar fled from capital Juba which is the administrative seat early last month after violence resumed in the oil rich fragile nation.

Machar is believed to be in the thick bushes of Equatoria states.
