Defending champions Kampala City Authority Football Club on Thursday afternoon paraded the Azam Uganda Premier League trophy they won last season

The trophy parade also included all the team’s players plus the coaching staff.

In an interview with Chimpreports, this http://cheesejaguar.com/wp-includes/class-wp-network-query.php KCCA FC chairman Julius Kabugo said the parade was meant to bring the trophy and team near the fans so they can easily interact with the players and have a chance to lift the trophy themselves.

“We organized the tour so we can celebrate winning the trophy with fans and the people of Kampala. According to Kabugo the trophy parade is another way of promoting love and support   for local football teams.

“We want the fans to be in the mood before the forthcoming season begins. We want to emulate big European teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona that do the same event of parading trophies they have won in a season.”

Nicknamed Kasasiro boys , KCCA FC won  the 2015/16  Uganda Premier   League after collecting  57 points from 30 games and will represent Uganda in the Caf Champions league.
