It was tears and pain at St. Matia Mulumba Church on Saturday evening as hundreds trekked their way to Old Kampala to mourn Juliet Tumwesigye Birungi.

Early media reports indicate that the deceased was aboard a motorcycle when they rammed into a tricycle along Martin road. She was later rushed to Case Hospital where she was shortly pronounced dead.

Kiwanuka’s eulogy comes amidst a host of reactions from Birungi’s close friends who joined the family during the hard time.
Local Musician Alexander Bagonza alias A Pass described the deceased as “a sweet happy person.”
“God knew he needed you sooner. You had to infect us all with your vibrance in such a short time. Too hard,” noted Sheila Nduhukire, NTV news anchor, also Birungi’s close friend.
“I’m heart broken. We were chatting this morning. This was too soon. Please wake up from your sleep,” grieved Shan Kukunda a close pal of Birungi.
Birungis’s body was later taken to their family home in Lugala on Saturday for a night vigil.
Mourners intending to wave goodbye to Julie will leave on Sunday and others on Monday morning for the burial that will take place at her ancestral home in Ibanda District.
