Former Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic is expected to be officially unveiled at Orlando Pirates soon, following the resignation of Kjell Jonevret this afternoon.

South African Club Orlando Pirates revealed the news of the resignation of their coach this afternoon.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club head coach, Kjell Jonevret, has tendered his resignation. Mr Jonevret has thanked the chairman of Orlando Pirates, Dr Irvin Khoza, the club and its supporters for giving him an opportunity to coach the club,” reads part of the statement from the club’s website.

ChimpReports understands that Jovenret has been under scrutiny following a spell of poor results since his arrival earlier this year.

Jovenret exit leaves the position vacant and former Uganda coach Micho who has recently been linked with a return to Orlando Pirates remains the strong favorite to take up the role.

Micho flew into Johannesburg on Monday to conclude the deal with Pirates‚ which is expected to be officially announced.

This will be Micho’s second spell at the Soweto club having initially joined the club in 2006 where he oversaw 23 games before being sacked.
