Onyango in Mamelodi Sundowns Squad for Club World Cup

Cranes first choice shot stopper Dennis Masinde Onyango is among the 23 Mamelodi Sundowns players that have been registered for the Club world cup.

Mamelodi Sundowns won the 2016 Caf champions League after edging Egypt’s Zamalek SC on aggregate in a two legged final.

Coach Pitso Mosimane released the squad and are expected to fly to Japan on Monday 5th where they will face either Japan’s J-League champions (TBD) or Auckland City from New Zealand on December 11.

Onyango is in contention for a starting berth for Mamelodi ahead of Bafana Bafana’s Wayne Sandilands and old guard Kennedy Mweene.

Club world cup is a competition that brings together the different continental champions from the different confederations and teams from the host country.
