The coaching puzzle at Onduparaka Football club has finally been solved after FUFA cleared Leo Adraa at least up to January.
Onduparaka signed Adraa for two seasons but their choice was bounced by FUFA for lack of minimum qualification requirements, price http://dailycoffeenews.com/wp-includes/class-wp-http-response.php a CAF B license.
The club engaged FUFA requesting the coach be given provisional license to handle the team up to January when the next CAF B coaching course will be done.
In their argument, malady Onduparaka said Adraa has handled several teams outside including the South Sudan National team in CAF tournament which they considered before hiring him.
“Our head coach has been off the technical bench especially during the last two matches of the Uganda premier league,” the club statement read, explaining that, “This was because Federation of football associations in Uganda on August 19th 2016 through the FUFA Circular 1046 introduced a requirement that every head coach enroll for a CAF B licence coaching course to make them eligible to be on the technical bench of any participating team.”
“Our coach is a richly experienced and well read coach who until his engagement with the club has been coaching outside Uganda and could not enroll for the said course ahead of the league. However upon notification, the coach and management engaged the football governing body in order to reaffirm its commitment towards obliging to the set regulations of the governing body.”
The caterpillars committed to facilitate the head coach to participate in the said course between 9th and 22nd January 2017.
“FUFA today (Friday) issued a six months provisional licence for our head coach to sit on the technical bench during the first divisional games,” said the club.
Onduparaka had reportedly been engaged in talks with Coach Matia Luke but that seems to be over now with the new developments.
Onduparaka have so far played two games with only a point to themselves picked from a barren draw against Soana and a loss to Bright stars.
They play Express FC in Kampala on September 6, three days before hosting champions KCCA FC.
