Oilers Vs Titans Game Rescheduled for Today

After seventeen days since the game between KIU Titans and City Oilers was washed out, medical Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has finally rescheduled the game for Tuesday at the Lugogo indoor stadium.

The much anticipated game between the defending champions and the Kansanga based side was brought to halt on 6th August after a persistent drizzle deemed the playing surface at the YMCA outdoor court unplayable.

The few minutes played before the wash out, website provided end to end action.  Oiler’s James Okello opened the scores with a 3 but Titans responded in similar style with Samuel Agutu also shooting three before Okello and Laundry Ndikumana added two other 3s for Oilers to take a 9-3 lead inside the opening two minutes before take a 16-7 first quarter lead.

However, healing when Titans coach Hamza Nyambogo brought on Collins Kasujja, the damage was limited as his side recharged to pull within close range before the rains interrupted with the game tied at 23-all.

Oilers remain the only unbeaten side in the league winning all the 14 games they have played while Titans have seemed to have got stability following a poor start to the season but are now unbeaten in their last 11 games.

Ivan Lumanyika who didn’t show up at the YMCA is expected to be available today while Oilers welcome back Ben Komakech after a long lay off with injury.

Oilers made light work of the university side in the first leg and have since imposed their might on every other team in the league.

In the women’s game, defending champions UCU lady cardinals take on Javolin Ladies.
