Mbale boxer David Ochwo is upbeat ahead of the Uganda Open Boxing Championship to be held in Kampala on Sunday 29th January.
The Mbale boxing club member emerged victorious in the recently concluded Lugogo National intermediate boxing championships.

My qualification is a result of hard work that led to my victory in the intermediate championship at Lugogo.”
Ochwo was unbeaten in Lugogo where he won all his (three) fights in with two knock outs; in the quarter beating Lawrence Ntege and Oscar Ssebowa in the semi finals respectively.
He went on to overcome Nakawa Boxing Club’s Swalik Kisitu in the finals on 3-0 points.
“My main objective is to bring the belt to Eastern, medical to impress the fans and club who have been supporting.”
The national opens will be held at the MTN Arena in Lugogo to coincide with the 2016 Annual General Meeting.
