NRM’s Lumumba Rushes to Kyadondo as Campaigns Heat up

Lumumba and her team moving around Kyadondo villages

As the Kyaddondo East campaigns gain momentum, price the NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba and the National Treasurer Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko have embarked on branch level interactions with Party members to solicit support for candidate Sitenda Ssebalu.

The duo mainly targets the 30 members of the village executive committees who they hope to mobilise their fellows in the hotly contested poll.

Sitenda is running against Musician Robert Kyagulanyi, ampoule Democratic Party’s Lillian Babirye Kamoome, abortion Sowedi Kayongo (Independent), FDC’s Apollo Kantinti and FDC leaning Muwada Nkunyingi.

The strategy which was launched onThursday morning in Kabubu and Bulamu parishes will see them cover all the 52 villages in the constituency.

Kyadondo East Constituency has nine (9) parishes.

The excited grassroots leaders expressed profound appreciation to the Secretary General and the Treasurer for the gesture and applauded the approach as the most effective way to relay the party message.

Lawrence Mayambala, an Administrator attached to the Party Electoral Commission who moved with the duo said the approach is the surest way to reclaim the constituency from the opposition.

Sitenda is the former MP of the constituency.
