The National Resistance Movement have reelected Hajat Rehema Watongola to hold its flag in the Kamuli Municipality MP by-elections.
According to reports from the eastern Kamuli district, viagra buy Watongola swept the ruling party primaries, order polling 5351 while her contenders Masitula Namatovu polled 2477, capsule Walujjo Samuel 296, Mwesige Geoffrey 131, Sanubi Namusisi 145 and Ceasar Lukalu 109.
Watongola was thrown out of Parliament by the Court of Appeal last month after her academic papers were found lacking.
The NRM Electoral Commission however, proceeded to clear her to contest again, saying that they were convinced this time with her qualifications.
The Commission Chairman Dr Tanga Odoi elucidated to the media recently; “Court only disqualified Wetongola’s certificates which she used from Busoga University; it didn’t temper with her O’level certificate (which she had not presented during the previous election) and that’s why we allowed her after the lawyers sat and cleared her.”
Odoi says when Watongola came this time with her O’Level Certificate of 2001 along with her A Level certificate which she got last year (2016), she was allowed back in the race.
Mrs. Watongola will once again be facing FDC’s Vice Chairperson Eastern region Proscovia Salaam Musumba who successfully challenged her papers in court.
Hon Salaamu is expected to be nominated this Thursday 23rd March 2017.
