NRM Pays Tribute to DP’s Mathias Nsubuga

The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) has joined the rest of Ugandans to mourn and celebrate the life of the fallen opposition Democratic Party (DP) Secretary General, treatment Mathias Nsubuga.

Nsubuga who also served as a Member of Parliament  (MP) for Bukoto South in the 9th Parliament passed way on Sunday evening at Case clinic in Kampala after succumbing to ‘Massive stroke’.

While paying respect to the late at Parliament, the NRM Secretary General,Justine Kasule Lumumba eulogised Nsubuga as a one Uganda who loved his country and portrayed it all he did.

“There is a lot about Nsubuga and actually I know only good things about him, he was somebody who loved Uganda; whatever political temperature was, Nsubuga remained a Ugandan,” Lumumba said.

Lumumba noted that Nsubuga is one Ugandan who balanced national politics, international politics, issues of the Catholic Church and also issues of Mengo.

“He is one man who respected everybody irrespective of what somebody was. Even when you are involved in a political argument, Nsubuga would remain sober without using any bad language.”

Lumumba added that Nsubuga is one man that has helped many vulnerable people, has extended hope to many individuals and paid school fees to many people.

“As also a member of IPOD (Interparty Platform for Dialogue) we have lost our chairperson, we looked at ourselves and thought Nsubuga was more sober and acceptable for all of us.”
