The leadership of the ruling National Resistance Movement party abroad has opened a chapter in Turkey.

The party Diaspora League Interim Chairman, http://celesteanddanielle.com/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-analyticator.php Mr. Patrick Assimwe consequently named Wasswa Hussein to lead all NRM members in the geographically strategic nation that is both a member of Asian and European Union.

Speaking over the weekend from the party Diaspora League headquarters in London, http://central-alarm.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/inc_php/settings_output.class.php United Kingdom, Mr Asiimwe said the main goal of opening a chapter in Turkey that has 300 active NRM members, is to bring party faithful abroad together.

Asiimwe stressed that after successfully launching branches in South Africa, Turkey and Egypt efforts are underway to get Qatar and the Arab world connected to achieve a total of 150,000 members across the globe by 2019.

The NRM members in Diaspora believe that strengthening their bases abroad will help in mobilizing support and marketing Uganda.

The Interim spokesperson of NRM Diaspora League, Mr Moses Kimuli speaking while speaking at the same function in London, noted that NRM cadres are already working to supplement the efforts of the government in Kampala.

Recently the group donated food stuffs and tree seedlings to the famine and drought affected people in the cattle corridor district of Insingiro.

The group also initiated community mental health projects, orphanage support and the latest is collaboration with Uganda police on traffic awareness.

Kimuli added that registration of all NRM cadres in the diaspora is ongoing.
