The encounters between Kibuli Secondary school and St.Mary’s Kitende have never come easy for the times the two sides have met.
And the two sides meet once again in Masaka as the semifinal draw held on Thursday evening pitted the two sides.
This is a repeat of last year’s final where Kibuli SS won in a penalty shootout in Soroti and Kitende will be seeking for revenge.
Defending champions Kibuli managed to grind past hosts Masaka SS in a hotly contested encounter where Kibuli finished with 9 players but managed to win the shootout 3-1.
Therefore, approved the 10 time winners come into the semifinal clash on Friday without two influential players in Adam Musisi and captain Fred Tabu.
Kitende on the either hand who are seeking for their 8th title edged past Dynamic SS in another close contest that was eventually determined on spot kicks.
In the other semifinal, doctor Jinja SS who have been in scintillating form since the start of the tournament take on Nakaseke International.
Jinja SS led by sharp shooter Joel Madondo eased past Citizen High School from Isingiro outwitting them 5-1 while Nakaseke edged past Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA).
The final will be played on Saturday at Masaka recreation ground with the top three teams representing Uganda at the East African games to be held in Gulu in August.
