With the group stage games successfully ended, seek the National Post Primary (NPP) school’s tournament enters the knockout phase.
In the draws held on Tuesday Morning, hosts Masaka Secondary School have been pitted against fellow giants Buddo Secondary School.
Masaka SS represented Masaka district, the hosts of the ongoing edition and have been tipped by many as one of the pre- tournament favorites.
With players like Nsimbe Badru aka “Jibril” and Reagan Kasumba, Masaka SS finished second in group A behind Jinja SS who led the group
Defending champions Kibuli SS who led group B unbeaten have been drawn against Buhobe SS who finished second in group H.
The other notable fixtures will see traditional contenders St. Mary’s Kitende take on St. Joseph’s Layibi from Gulu while Blessed Sacrament Kimanya will play Citizen High School from Kasese a team that has proved to be a threat.
The round of 16 games will be played on Wednesday with final slated for Sunday at Masaka Recreation ground.
