Nalule alleges that in October last year, she visited the hospital where Dr. Simon Nuwagaba, a gynaecologist recommended her for urine tests.

She claims she proceeded to the Laboratory where the male Lab Technician told her to lie down on the bed and pushed his hand hard in her private parts.

Embarrassed and in pain, she says she went and explained the whole shameful scenario to Dr Nuwagaba and “he was in shock”

Nalule says the doctor summoned the Lab Technician who denied having performed the shameful examination but truth came after footage was retrieved from the CCTV cameras and it was at this point that the Lab technician accepted and asked for forgiveness.

The plaintiff also recalls that the hospital’s human resource manager and Dr. Nuwagaba have since tried to intercede on behalf of the technician, but she stood her ground and decided to take the matter to court.

She claims the technician’s conduct was not only demeaning but also left her in a lot of pain, as her private parts were left bleeding and swollen.

The hospital when contacted declined to give an official comment on the matter.

The High Court’s Deputy Registrar however, gave them up to 15 days to have filed their defense, short of which the matter will proceed without their side.
