STATEMENT

To all my fans in Uganda and all over the world,

As you might be aware, there has been a lot of fanfare and discussion in the media and social media about my photos taken in private that were leaked to the public by a jilted lover.

The facts about this matter are that these were photos taken in privacy with someone I loved. In our private moments, we all have our “moments of madness”. The bottom line is that I trusted this person and never hoped that something done in private would find its way to the public domain irrespective of our differences.

I am aware that for many people who looked up to me as a role model, to the fans who adore my music , to the young generation that looks up to artistes like me as a symbol of the importance of grooming and growing talent, these photos must have been an upset.

I want to sincerely apologise to my mother, to my daughter, to my family, to my friends, my fans and any other people who have been offended by these images. Like I said, this was a breach of trust by someone I loved. I take full responsibility for having lost my mind to take such shameful pics. This person has not only abused that trust but now seeks to drag me down.

Those who have interacted closely with me know I am a decent person, a doting mother and an industrious woman. These images in no way should define who I am.

Let me also thank my numerous fans who have stood by me in this period—asking me to be firm amidst the tempest.

Just to let you know, the responsible authorities are doing everything possible to ensure I get justice. Once again, accept my sincere apologies.

Thank you,

Desire Luzinda

Lira Deputy Resident District Commissioner, find http://centruldedic.ro/wp-includes/class-smtp.php Emmanuel Mwaka Lutukmoi has called upon the populace in northern Uganda to work hard if they are to live out of the cycle of poverty.

Speaking at the launch of the second Northern Uganda Economic Empowerment Week in Lira town yesterday, approved http://chamberhealthcoop.com/wp-admin/includes/continents-cities.php Lutukmoi said the clearest way to self-destruction is to imagine a false enemy and fail to attack the real one.

“When your enemy throws you down, http://ciencialili.org/cache/gantry/e3625f22983f7563ae9a0f3fe508c832-cache-gantry-855f6ba278a19599d45810cf0683c1b7.php the best answer is to pretend to be dead and later stand up and run; it is time to work hard and avoid pretending about poverty,” he said.

“Today, we celebrate over 8 years of peace, The Northern Uganda Economic development week is a vote of confidence to the NRM government led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,” Lutukmoi said.

According to Lutukmoi, during the war, many in Northern Uganda thought government had no will to bring peace.  “People were in pain but the government and the UPDF showed commitment besides other peace efforts to end the war,” he said.

In the post conflict recovery process, Lutukmoi is hopeful that as leaders, they will be  able to drive the change development agenda with a belief that this will be reflected in the life of every poor Ugandan in Lira where he is zeroing on curbing poverty and elsewhere in the region.

He also attributed the current fulfillment of presidential pledges to their endless effort and hard work as district leaders while working closely with the office for the Minister for Northern Uganda under the office of the Prime Minister.

Lutukmoi also highlighted a number of government development projects in the district including the completion of the state of the art market in Lira worth shs 28 billion.

“Listening to the call of the people, Government invested another 1.1 Billion on Kaguta Bridge whose work is now on, and the construction of Barlonyo Vocational School that is nearing completion.

As the district ponders to counter the issue of youth Unemployment and skill development, Lutukmoi noted that over, 400 Million shillings was in the District’s account for the Youth Livelihood program.

As the business week picks up, he assured participants and visitors to keep an eye on Lira as it will be their next best destination.
