Nkata Dumps Tusker for Bandari

Coach Paul Nkata led Tusker FC to their first ever double in 42 tears of existence. He has also coached Nairobi City Stars and Muhoroni Youth in Kenya

Sportpesa Premier League coach of the year Fred Nkata has ditched champions Tusker FC for coastal Kenya side Bandari FC.

The development comes just a day after the soft spoken coach received the tactician’s most prized gong with about ten million shillings as cash reward.

“Bandari on Thursday submitted documents to the federation indicating Nkata is their new coach, salve ” Soka revealed.

“He has terminated his contract with Tusker and will be in charge of Bandari from next season.”

Nkata won the 2016 league title and the GOTV shield cup to complete the first ever double with the brewers.

During his Coronation on Tuesday, Nkata thanked his assistant George Owoko for introducing him to Kenyan football at the same time casting a dice of uncertainty over his stay at Tusker and further labelling himself -“Johnny Walker”.

“I want to thank George Owoko for connecting me to Kenya. Without his efforts, I wouldn’t be here (Tusker),” Nkata noted.

“I am not sure of what the future holds, as you can see am a Johnny Walker.”

He joined the brewers from Muhoroni Youth FC and has also coached Nairobi City Stars.

Bandari finished the season eleventh with 30 points more than half of what the winners (Tusker FC-61) got.
