The newly appointed Leader of Opposition (LOP) and Kasese Woman MP, medicine http://dakarlives.com/wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php Winnie Kizza has promised to use this office to champion the fight for the fundamental human rights of the FDC presidential flag bearer who is current on remand in Luzira upper prison.
While expressing gratitude to the party National Executive Committee (NEC) members upon for zeroing on her for the big office, Mrs Kiiza promised that she would focus all her energies on ensuring that the fundamental human rights of all Ugandans are protected and upheld.
“I will use the avenue to stop the violation of Human rights of Ugandans, especially for our candidate Dr Besigye who is currently in prison; I will fight against the poor service delivery in the country,” Kizza said.
Kizza also vowed to rally all Members of Parliament including those from the ruling party to fight for better service delivery.
The party on Thursday appointed the Kasese Member of Parliament as the Leader of Opposition, Kira Municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda as the Chief whip and Cecilia Ogwal as the Parliamentary Commissioner.
Asked to explain the choice of Winnie Kiiza as leader of opposition, the party president Gen Mugisha Muntu said she was picked for her abilities.
“We are choosing these leaders not because of where they come from but more because of their capabilities; Hon. Ssemujju Nganda is good at time keeping a discipline that Uganda needs and Hon. Winnie Kizza is best at building cohesion,” Muntu said.
