The Uganda U21 netball team returned home on Tuesday after a successful campaign where they finished third at the just concluded Africa U21 netball championship that was played in Gaborone, purchase http://communityseven.com/ext/sitesplat/badge/conditions/type/signature.php Botswana.

Uganda won five of the seven games played at the championship to finish behind winners South Africa and Zimbabwe who have also qualified for the 2017 world netball youth championship to be held in Botswana.

“I want to congratulate you for the tremendous work done. Indeed you made us proud and lifted the Uganda flag high,” said Onek.

Government support.

Mulamagi also thanked the team and promised more support from government towards netball.

“As National Council of Sports, we are proud of netball in Uganda. We are glad that netball has set up systems that have youth structures that allow the game spread across all age groups. As government, we shall continue to support the game,” he said.

The team was served to a dinner at the Lugogo indoor stadium and each player was given 200,000 shillings as a token of appreciation.
