Our Saviour 60-65 UPDF Tomahawks

Our Saviour’s awful run since the start of the second round of the National basketball league continued as the Kikoni based side lost to UPDF Tomahawks on Wednesday night at the YMCA outdoor court, more about Wandegeya.

Tomahawks condemned Our saviour to their fifth straight loss with the army side winning 65-60.

After impressive performance in the first round of the league that saw them finish at 7-4, Our saviour failed to replicate the same performance and went to lose all the five games they played in the second round.

UPDF took charge right from start winning the first quarter 15-10 before claiming the second 18-11 to take a 12 point lead(33-21 ) into half time.

Our saviour showed a fight back spirit after recess combining for 39 points with 30 coming in the fourth quarter. Tomahawks added 32 points to win 65-60.

UPDF’s Felix Odama led the scoring charts with a game high 15 points with his teammate Wokorach adding 14. Moses had 12 points as a team high for Our saviour.

In the women’s game played JKL lady dolphins edged past Javon Ladies 64-54.

Action resumes on Thursday the YMCA with KCCA Leopards taking on lowly magic stormers in the women’s game while Pemba Warriors face off with UCU Canons.
