Pemba Warriors vs JKL Dolphins, 8pm
The Men’s National Basketball League will continue today with on form Pemba Warriors taking on struggling JKL Dolphins.
By the look of things, Warriors’ place in the play-offs is already reserved; it might look so early to call but the fact that they have only lost once, is a big statement to overlook.
Ronnie Mutebi’s charges who gets an inspiration from Syrus Kiviiri and a friendly pair of Michael Buzangu and Saidi Amisi, have won 9 out of their 10 games so far. That loss came recently against defending champions City Oilers.
The team comes into this encounter at the back of a 92-40 victory against Nkumba Marines in a game that saw the Mariners post only 6 points in the first quarter.
JKL dolphins have endured all the worst results and the team is on a 6 game losing streak, having won 3 of their 4 opening games of the season.
Coach Boniface Okello should find his playing gear as the team will need an extra force if they are to upset the odds tonight.
In their recent encounter, JKL dolphins had Ferdinand Odama and Dan Orenga register 16 and 14 points respectively but the team eventually lost 55-59 to Ndejje University Angels as Michael Otieno posted a game high 20 points.
