NBL: Demolition as Pemba Warriors Win a 40-Point Game

Pemba warriors sealed off their first round phase with a 41-81 gigantic victory against Boniface Okello’s Dolphins in the men’s National Basketball League game played at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

Warriors dominated the game from the start, leading 21-40 at halftime before scoring 23 points in the third quarter to take a 32-63 lead in the last 10 minutes.

JKL dolphins were limited to only 9 points in the last quarter to eventually lose the game by a 40 point deficit in a loosely contested affair.

Dan Orenga scored 12 points for the Dolphins but his efforts did not make an impact as they went on to lose the game to a better team on court.

The defeat was the 7th JKL dolphins have suffered in a row since their 80-61 victory against Sharing Youth on June 11th.

Warriors’ quartet of Saidi Amisi, Syrus Kiviri, Mark Opiyo and Micheal Ntumba Buzangu scored 11, 12, 15 and 18 points in that order.

The victory took Ronnie Mutebi’s Warriors on top of the log with 21 points collected from 11 games, Betway Power fall to second with 19 points closely followed by KIU Titans and UCU Canons.
