“The whites have always wanted us to be submissive and believe that we are a third world. But we have everything from food, weather, caring families which they don’t have,” said Gen. Tumwiine.

“The moment you perceive money as the most important thing in life, you then will be enslaved by those who possess it,” he added.

The Pan African Pyramid was founded by marketing guru Andrew Irumba as a platform to debate issues relating to Pan Africanism, patriotism and nationalism.

The purpose of the dinner was to reawaken the African spirit as well as celebrating one year since the first of the many debate series began.

While narrating the history of the Pan African Pyramid, Andrew Irumba, mentioned that Pan Africanism had at the time not been given attention as politics, entertainment among others.
