In a phone interview with ChimpReports that has been closely following the events in the FDC as its constitution kicks out officials who have served for two terms, Nabilah maintained that taking the top mantle of the official opposition party is automatically going to be a “unique course” in overwhelming the NRM.

“All the FDC party members and in fact the whole country should expect innovation and pragmatic solutions to the challenges that the opposition has been facing in Uganda. I am ready to offer it and very confident to achieve it,” Nabilah said.

When asked on the source of her confidence and the viability of her new plans given the political environment where other opposition members are restricted, Nabilah who has been the political darling of Kampala since 7th Parliament said organization is the key.

“An organized opposition group through a potential office of the SG under Nabilah is going to surmount even nuclear power. Indeed big challenges wait ahead but new solutions also coming,” Nabilah added.

She observed that Ugandans should stop cease regarding FDC as a failing party but keep the positive spirit burning and see the party as the ready and available alternative organization.

“We should all project FDC as a ready organization and for now an available alternative not as a failed party. Let us keep the struggle and I am going to position myself together with the party President to make us reach the Promised Land.” Nabilah said.

Other FDC stalwarts who have shown interest for the same post are the former party presidential aspirant, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Terego County MP, Kasiano Wadri and the former Reform Agenda SG, Geoffrey Ekanya who is also the MP for Tororo County.

The National Delegates` Conference where the new SG and many other new office bearers shall be elected is set for 12th June.
